Our team is made up of part-time artists, full-time family members and all-the-time bringers of joy and support to your loved one. We are Marin grown and fully organic, creative, intelligent, patient, hard-working and dedicated. Colleen Gildea founded Little Bit of Help on a simple belief: true caregiving means showing up with compassion, reliability, and heart. A long-time Marin local, she’s devoted to her family, the ecstatic dance community, the local music scene, and senior care. Often spotted at Rodeo Beach with her Great Dane, Bear, Colleen sees caregiving not just as work, but as an extension of her values—offering “just the help you need, when you need it.

Ray Sumser is Little Bit of Help’s Care Facilitator, guiding client outreach and support with warmth, creativity, and empathy. An artist at heart—painter, writer, and musician—Ray finds purpose in helping people feel seen and cared for. His background spans teaching art, counseling at day camp, and volunteering at The Redwoods retirement community. After five years as a caregiver, Ray stepped into his current role, where he brings dedication and heart to ensuring every client feels supported.

River van den Berghe is the People Operations Manager here at LBOH, where he brings compassion and care to scheduling, invoicing, and supporting both clients and caregivers. With a background working with children on the autism spectrum, River is passionate about helping people get the support they need to live happy, healthy lives. Outside of work, he enjoys playing music, surfing, biking, hiking, and spending time with his beloved chihuahua.

Tema Daveta is Little Bit of Help’s Sonoma County Regional Care Supervisor. She is a lifelong devoted caregiver. The core of her family and community, she is especially dedicated to supporting the Fijian community and brings a wealth of knowledge about caregiving and senior support. Tema is known for her warmth, reliability, and ability to make every client feel at home. She loves Santa Rosa and takes pride in serving the people and communities she cares for most.

Daneille Hottinger brings a lifetime of caregiving and community connection to Little Bit of Help. She started working with children at 12, later spending over 15 years as a nanny, 10 years as a lifeguard, and two as an aquatics director. She also worked in healthcare administration as an office manager for a gynecologist and pelvic surgeon. A Marin local since 1992 and Tam High alum, Daneille studied Political Science at San Francisco State and spent time abroad in Sweden. With more than four years at Little Bit of Help, she offers warmth, reliability, and deep roots in the community she serves.

Tyler Woods joined Little Bit of Help in spring 2024. Kind, calm, and caring, he enjoys connecting with people in a real way—without trying to change or fix them. Tyler loves offering support to neighbors and to the men he coaches. Outside of senior care, he leads men’s groups online and in Marin’s parks, helping others with purpose, addiction, and living in the moment.

Kate Russo brings 18 years of caregiving experience, guided by empathy, intuition, and heart. Having cared for her own grandparents, she understands the importance of being both steady support and almost like family. She finds joy in the connections, stories, and beauty of people in their later years, and feels especially called to provide comfort during end-of-life care. An SF native and psychology student with a love of nature, cooking, and storytelling, Kate brings warmth, humor, and resilience to every client she serves.

For Wendy G., caregiving was a calling inspired by the pandemic’s treatment of older adults. Trained as a clinical psychologist, she became a CNA/HHA, qualifying her to work as a certified nursing assistant and home health aide for hospice organizations and in skilled nursing facilities. With a focus on end-of-life care, dementia, and being an advocate for aging-in-place, Wendy approaches the caregiving experience holistically to include support and respite for family members.

Jennifer Burner brings warmth, attentiveness, and presence to her work as a caregiver, approaching each person with both skill and compassion. She is also a conscious dance DJ and facilitator of the Five Rhythms practice, helping people connect through movement and music. She loves animals, the beach, cooking, traveling and quiet. Music, nature, and connection are central to her life, and she brings that same depth of care to the people she supports.
